CENTRAL BANK DIGITAL CURRENCIES

The paper, presented at the World Economic Forum and at MIT CES 20, argues that turning the U.S. dollar into a digital currency will increase financial stability. By looking specifically at the student loan market and leveraging the IMF framework for digital currency financial stability, the paper illustrates that central banks can provide a truly safe store of value that provides long-term gains to the economy.
